As the name suggests, it’s designed with spodding in mind, yet it will perform equally as well as a marker reel, and there’s no reason why it can’t be used as a fishing reel too. The upgrades include a deeper spool, holding 325 yards of 12lb line, a metal line clip. It’s smooth to use, boasts ininite anti-reverse and a big gear ratio of 4.8:1 allows you to retrieve with speed and efficiency. Weighing just over 20oz also means that the Avospod 70 doesn’t become a chore to use after just 10 minutes or so of repeated casting.
